We tested that at our end with Email Subscribers v3.1.5 and it is working correctly.
Could you give us a chance to make it work on your site?
Yes I would love for it to work. I just don’t know why it’s not sending out emails to people to confirm their subscriptions. Right now I’m using the standard “jetpack” one but rather use this plugin in stead.

Are you using latest version v3.1.5? Are you using Subscribe form of Email Subscribers or Rainmaker?
Could you please check this guide : Emails are not being received by Subscribers and let us know your views on the same.

I believe I was able to to get it to work now. I tried out with a sample email of mine and so far so good.
