    WP 4.1
    NGG 2.0.66.37
    http://www.droptonestudio.com

    Hello–

Was having an issue after upgrading from pre 2.0 NGG where the singlepic code wasn’t working. searched the forums here and found a possible solution was to regen thumbnails. however when i tried that WP told me i didnt have sufficient permission. after trying a few things. NGG went haywire. i lost all NGG permissions (only “manage tags” shows up in admin panel) and when NGG plugin is active, all of my pages show the homepage (seems like a permalink issue? but its NGG related). so at this point i deleted the plugin entirely and reinstalled. both issues remain. i am at a loss. help.

edit– it occurs with every theme.

  • Hi eighteesix,

I just ran into a somewhat similar issue after updating to WP 4.1, then updating NGG, then deactivating & reactivating all plugins.

Have you tried resetting your permalinks by going to your WordPress Settings > Permalinks & refreshing them by clicking Save Changes? This should work just fine as long as you don’t have your .htaccess locked down by another plugin.

I just tried that after I found this thread and got my site navigation & links to work again.

I hope this helps a little!

    hey sethbutler–

the first thing i did was change my permalink settings to default then back to the original setting. it did not help. my htaccess file has been working great prior to this. it has 755 permissions so WP has full access to make any changes as well.

    eighteesix,

Darnit. Have you tried renaming .htaccess through FTP and then recreating the permalink settings?

I’m stumped otherwise, and wishing NGG would make updating a more straightforward process.

    Cheers

    seth–

i did try that. it gave me a “not found” (404) error message when the htaccess file was renamed. no change when permalink settings readjusted. bummer.

@eighteesix – This generally has a “permissions” like issue (usually a conflict with another plugin) that can be solved with our external Reset Tool plugin in almost all cases.

Please send us a Bug Report (http://nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) and ask us to send you put the plugin.

@sethbutler – Thanks for your input!

@eighteesix – If you have not received a response yet then I would suggest re-submitting your Bug Report as there are no items that have not been currently responded to at this time.

    Thanks!
