Total site failure!!
-
Hi I am a newbie to WordPress so I’m not sure if this problem is as major as I’m making out but thanks for any help offered.
Ok the problem is located here : http://www.mattleephotographic.co.uk
I used to have a hand scripted HTML site here but have been constructing a WordPress site in a subdirectory to eventually replace the conventional site (the subdirectory was ‘WordPress/wordpress’ because I accidentally created it 2 directorys deep). Once I finished the WordPress site I went about deleting my old HTML files and moving the WordPress folders to the root. I moved all the WordPress contents into its own directory, /wordpress.
While I still had access to my admin I updated the URL & home settings to the new settings.
I think I have gotten very tangled up in trying to make things work since moving all the files about so I just don’t have a clue what the problem is now.
I have followed most help topics I can find and no fixes work. I have even looked into the database wp-options table and the settings in there appear to be correct. So I can’t understand why my site isn’t displaying correctly!
Due to the fact that data is appearing I’m assuming the database is being accessed ok the the problem is with my WordPress files.
Is my only option to install WordPress again? If so what’s the best method of going about removing all the old files. Thanks in advance for any wise words!
