Trackback problems

    Hey all,
    I have read that there are some problems with trackbacks
    I seem to be having problems as well…
    I have no problem giving out track backs to my friends post on a MT account. but he can’t give me a trackback, his errors out when he uses the trackback link in the bottom of my posts
    which maybe someone can explain the point of that template tag is? all it does is give you a link that takes you to the comments…
    i updated to july 26th’s nightly build but still no luck
    the top post in my blog is dedicated to testing trackbacks so if someone wants to try it out that would be cool

    i noticed that when i trackbacked one of my previous posts it works, but i tried it again and it didnt work heres the link to it… you can see that the last comment is indeed a trackback http://chris.ivillage.cc/index.php?p=6

    Trackbacks don’t seem to be working for me. Others can trackback to me but I cannot to them. I’m using v.1.2. Is there a known problem and fix for this?

    I have find a solution for trackbacks bug that works fine for me. You can view it on my weblog:

    This is a bug I’ve never noticed… I mean, what exactly IS the bug? People seem to be able to ping me with no problems…

    Ocean, trackbacks have always played favorites. They decide to work for some folks and not for the others. Nobody’s fault, just the way trackbacks are, I suspect it is one of their hereditary features 😉

    Ah, I see. Fickle, are they? 🙂 I was just wondering if I should be concerned with putting in the fix or not. I don’t SEEM to have trouble, and I’m pretty sure people can ping me with no problems…. Guess I’ll let it go for now.

    Are those of you with trackback problems using any plugins? If so, which ones?
