Trackbacks

I recently had a viewer create a trackback to my site. I initially approved it, but later marked it as “spam”. While it was approved in my blog, it appeared as a “comment”. Is that the correct place for such material to be displayed? Or should such references be displayed in a special category for “trackbacks” in respect to the specific post for which they are submitted? Where is the setting to control this matter?
