    Hi there,

So the plugin has worked like a charm on single wordpress installations.

I noticed something peculiar though, which I guess it’s good, but I’m not sure if it’s expected behaviour or not.

When I install the plugin and enable the tracking code, I can go to the source code of my website and verify that the code is showing there. All good.

    Here’s the surprising thing:

As soon as the first visit is tracked, if I check my website’s source code again, the tracking code is not there anymore. No reference to Piwik.

    1) Is this normal behaviour?

If it is, awesome! I wouldn’t want to leave a footprint.

    2) If it’s not, is this something that will eventually cause a problem?

    3) I read on a thread that there’s an option to avoid leaving a footprint. Could I have activated this option by accident? Where do I find that option? How’s it called?

Thank you very much for your time and effort and for providing a much needed value with this plugin!!!

    Regards

Tracking is still working as expected?

    Maybe…

    1) … the show tracking code option is disabled.
    2) … a tracking filter (e.g., to avoid tracking yourself) is enabled. See tracking settings, last option. (–> Or just log out and check if the code reappears.)
    3) … you’ve chosen the proxy script. Of course, the tracking code will still appear in your page source, but it links to a php script in /wp-piwik instead of linking to your Piwik instance.

    1) Tracking code is enabled

    2) I DID set up piwik so that it doesn’t count my IP address as a visit. Maybe this is what’s causing the code to disappear when logged to WordPress. When logged off of wordpress (browsing on incognito mode) the code DOES show in the source code.

    3) Where do I find this option? How is it called? If it’s something called “User Agent” I tried changing the option to WP Piwik, but my Piwik instance URL still shows on the code:

    2) Your Piwik settings don’t affect WP-Piwik. If you configured WP-Piwik’s tracking filter to filter your user role (settings -> tracking – > last option), removing the tracking code is the expected behavior.

    3) settings -> tracking -> Use proxy script.

    2) Solved! Yes! Admin was set to be filtered. Thank you 🙂

    3) Solved! And working perfectly! 🙂

Thank you for all your help and quick responses mate!

Do you accept Bitcoin for donations? I just signed up with Flattr since they used to accept Bitcoin to fund your account, but not anymore.
Please add the bitcoin donation option, I’ll be the first to donate, cannot use other method unfortunately.

Thank you very much. I have no idea about BitCoins, but I tried to create an account.

So this should be my receive address for my WP-Piwik wallet 😉

    Done! 🙂

You could add your address and a qr code for it in thedonation widget of your plugin.

Many people from overseas can’t use paypal or credit cards.

    Thanks again 🙂
