Hi @lauramark I am well! Thanks! Try this video for general set up: Troubleshoot Mailchimp for WooCommerce: https://eepurl.com/ip27Bg
RE a specific video for enabling transactional emails, I do not have one, but try these steps:
To set up transactional emails for the Mailchimp for WooCommerce plugin, you typically need to ensure that your Mailchimp account is properly integrated with your WooCommerce store and that you’ve configured your email settings correctly. Here are the steps to get you started:
- Install and Activate the Mailchimp for WooCommerce Plugin:
- Go to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to
Plugins > Add New, and search for “Mailchimp for WooCommerce.”
- Install and activate the plugin.
- Connect Your Mailchimp Account:
- After activation, go to
WooCommerce > Mailchimp.
- Follow the prompts to connect your Mailchimp account to your WooCommerce store. You will need to provide your Mailchimp API key.
- Configure Your Audience Settings:
- In the Mailchimp settings, select the audience (list) where you want to sync your WooCommerce customers.
- Make sure to configure the audience settings to allow for transactional emails.
- Enable Transactional Emails:
- Go to the Mailchimp website and log in to your account.
- Navigate to
Account > Settings > Transactional Email.
- Here, ensure that transactional emails are enabled for your account.
- Customize Your Transactional Emails:
- You can customize the design and content of your transactional emails in Mailchimp.
- Navigate to
Campaigns > Email templates and create or edit email templates that will be used for transactional emails (like order confirmations, shipping notifications, etc.).
- Check Sync Settings:
- In WooCommerce, ensure that your settings allow customers to be synced to Mailchimp with the proper subscription status.
- Make sure customers who make purchases are synced as “subscribed” rather than just “transactional.”
- Test the Integration:
- Make a test purchase in your WooCommerce store to ensure that the transactional emails are sent correctly.
- Check your Mailchimp account to verify that the customer has been added to your audience and that the right emails are being triggered.
- Review Logs for Issues:
- If you encounter any issues, check the plugin logs by going to
WooCommerce > Status > Logs. Select the Mailchimp logs to view any errors or warnings that may help troubleshoot.
By following these steps, you should be able to successfully set up and customize transactional emails for your WooCommerce store using the Mailchimp plugin.
