Transferring from .org to .com

    I’m growing increasingly concerned about the amount of hacks and viruses with self hosting WordPress. Has anyone considered transferring to .com and is it possible?

    not a bit – if you stay up to date and don’t do silly things with security…why worry?
    with proper backups you can easily overcome anything anyway

    ftp user names and passwords on shared servers is a huge problem
    also, malware programs can infect your computer and steal that sort of info – why ant-virus should be done and kept up to date
    open file permissions where the database info can be read, etc.
