Hi @blommenhofutbildning
I’ve got no relationship with this plugin in any way. But I happen to be on the team of Swedish volunteer translators, and think I know the answer.
There is a community-made Swedish translation package for this plugin. But it currently covers only 67% of the strings. You’re welcome to suggest translations at https://translate.ww.wp.xz.cn/projects/wp-plugins/wpforms-lite/stable/sv/default/
If you want to contribute more than a couple of strings, then I’d recommend that you start by reading https://wpsv.se/engagera-dig/stilguide-for-oversattningar/ to avoid most typical beginner’s errors, and to learn how to get in touch with the Swedish team.

Hi @blommenhofutbildning and @tobifjellner,
@tobifjellner, thanks for all the details you shared!
@blommenhofutbildning, you can translate the plugin by following the steps in our guide here.
I suspect the error message you’re seeing might be one of our Validation Messages (like “This field is required”). You can actually change these messages directly within your WordPress settings without installing extra plugins:
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to WPForms » Settings.
- Click on the Validation tab.
- Here, you will see a list of default error messages. You can type your Swedish translations directly into those boxes.
- Click Save Settings at the bottom.
For more details on this specific section, please see this section in our guide.
If there is a specific message you’ve been unable to translate using these methods, please share a screenshot or the exact text of the message, and let us know where it appears. I’ll be happy to provide further assistance!
Hi @blommenhofutbildning,
We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
Thanks!
