    Hi,

Although TranslatePress is a great tool, as a translator, I am missing the feature to translate outside of WordPress and then import the translations back in. I know TranslatePress does not offer this and that all content is meant to be edited on the front-end. This is OK for small websites, but it becomes very tedious and time-consuming when dealing with large sites of hundreds of pages/thousands of products.

I read this topic https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/access-translate-press-database/ from 3 years ago on how to access the wp_trp* tables using a database tool like Wp Data Access. In fact, I tried many different database editing tools, but none are effective or practical in translating content.

If I want to export wp_trp* tables, translate them outside WordPress, then import the translated wp_trp* tables back into the database again, how can I do that? Which tool, plugin or workaround do you recommend? I could work with any common formats like Excel, .json, .xliff, .xml, .po, etc.,

Look forward to hearing your thoughts.

    Hello there,

    Thank you for reaching us!

Unfortunately, for the time being, we don’t have support for importing/exporting translations.

This is a tracked feature and will be available in the future versions of TranslatePress – but, as there are other features more requested that require prioritization, I can’t give you a timeframe for when will this be implemented.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Kind Regards,
