Translate not Working

Great Plugin, thank you.
I created the .po translation file for Brazilian Portuguese and the translation functions do not work, I think it has to do with strips slashes or do not know. I tried code changes, it did not work. Well it may be some conflict with another plugin, actually everything seems to be correct but it did not work. If someone has encountered this problem and can share the solution, thank you very much. Also I could not send the .po pt_BR file to the directory, I did not find out how to, sorry I am new to wordpress, if you tell me how I will upload with pleasure.
