I have exactly the same question. The problem is the same for categories.
A simple yes or no would be nice.

I’ve posted this question a long time ago, so I don’t actually remember how I’ve managed to solve this problem, but the answer is yes, it’s possible.
The store I was building at the time is ready and the permalinks appear with the correct translation.
Have you already translated the product categories on the category page, and published the translated products on that category?

I can not find where translate permalinks
custom base in product permalink
and product category base in Optional
My links are like this
Product:
French shop url: domain.com/fr/boutique OK
Url English shop: domain.com/en/shop OK
Url of French products: domain.com/fr/boutique/categorie/produit OK
Url English products: domaine.com/en/boutique/category/product NOT OK
Categories
French shop: domain.com/fr//categorie/cat-in-french OK
English shop: domain.com/en/categorie/cat-in-english NOT OK
All can be changed in wordpress permalinks settings
