Hey that would be great thanks @horecapascarella.
Here are some instructions to get started https://docs.wpusermanager.com/article/125-translate-wp-user-manager
There are 11 strings needing translating https://translate.ww.wp.xz.cn/projects/wp-plugins/wp-user-manager/stable/it/default/?filters%5Bstatus%5D=untranslated&sort%5Bby%5D=priority&sort%5Bhow%5D=desc
The rest are currently pending, they require an approval from a WP translation editor. Once 95% of strings are approved, the language pack will be automatically generated.
Would you be interested in being appointed as translation editor for the plugin in Italian?
If you are interested, the next steps are
– Join the Italian Slack team via https://italia-wp-community.slack.com/signup
– Get themselves acquainted with the glossary and style guide for the Italian team
– Have a second check at their pending translations.
– Remove double entries. You can reject the incorrect/less good variants.
– Request via Italian Slack that someone checks your pending strings and gives feedback, – and if all is OK you’ll be granted PTE rights.
After that, you can approve your own (and others) strings.
Once at leat 95% of the strings in the plugin are translated and approved, a language pack will be generated automatically.
Many thanks
Hi WP user Manager team,
I’m interested as @horecapascarella to traslate in italian your plug-in.
My request is more specific on the registration form and login form, I would like to translate the name fields in italian.
I think the traslation process to traslate all the plugin will take a long time and I need a faster solution, if possible.
Do you have some faster solution to do that?
Thanks,
Danilo
Hey @danilodjden – you can use a plugin like Loco Translate to translate the strings of other plugins like WP User Manager. See https://docs.wpusermanager.com/article/181-how-to-use-loco-translate-for-wp-user-manager
