    Hi,

I assume you want to translate the placeholder input via polylang string translations?

    Hi,

Yes, exactly. I have followed the instructions, I think. I have placed the shortcode with a Code block element from Avada theme, but polylang doesn’t register the string,

Okay – is it possible to try a different element? Some themes do instantly cache the block output, so even if you were to translate it, it would display the cached version. That would very well explain the issue, and I have seen that before.

I think Avada has cache on it’s own, try switching the language, then clear the cache, then reload the front-end. After that the strings should very likely register.

    All the best,

It doesn’t work either. Maybe I am doing something wrong, I don’t know… Thank you for your help, anyway

    Kind regards

Interesting. Can you try placing the search bar somewhere else – maybe in the header or the footer temporarily? Maybe that will trigger the string translations.
