Translatepress does not show my translated text

    My website is set in Polish as a default language. I translated it to English with TranslatePress and there was no problem at the beginning – it showed the correct translation. Then after adding translation to more places on the website and saving, it only showed the English version on the main – menu website. Now it does not show English translation at all, but still Polish with “?” instead of polish signs. Can you please help? I tried deactivating the plugins and it did not help.

    Hello,

    Can you send me a screenshot of the Translation Editor? Do you have a translation available for those strings?

    If not, it’s possible you made small changes to the original text and we couldn’t recognize it any longer.

    You probably have some sort of encoding issue or even database collation issue.

    It’s weird that it used to work. Did you make any changes recently to your website? Installed a new plugin?

    Also, can you look at your database and tell me what collation you have to the wp_trp_* tables? You can use https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-data-access/ or PHPMyAdmin from your hosting.

    Sounds scary 🙁

    The website is new, so yes I made some changes such as changing pictures, fonts, text etc.

    No new plugins, but I was deactivating some and activating again to check if this helps.

    Please click on one of the trp tables -> Manage -> Columns and send me a screenshot.

    There you’ll find the row collation.

    Hi,

    Everything looks ok in the database tables… The only thing I can think of is your font doesn’t support the special characters.

    I just visited your website and the question mark is no longer in Polish language. Did you change anything?

    I still have an issue with translatepress showing the second language with ????? This wasn’t an issue before but with multiple solutions – database changes, loading fonts it does not resolve.

    On the staging site when Serbian is the default language then everything is translated as it should?!?!
