I have a crucial issue that needs feedback and a solution. I hope someone can help me resolve this problem.

Problem Description: I am using TranslatePress and RankMath. I deleted the Arabic language in TranslatePress because accessing that Arabic language was causing 500 errors, so I had to remove it. However, I found that RankMath’s sitemap has already included these deleted pages in the sitemap. I’ve tried many methods but cannot remove them. Is this some kind of issue caused by TranslatePress?

Second Problem: I modified the category page slug translations through the frontend, but the sitemap still displays the old slug translations for that category.

These two problems have resulted in a large number of 404 pages appearing. My requirements are: 1. For languages that have already been deleted, what do I need to do to prevent them from appearing in the sitemap? 2. For slugs I have already modified, how can the sitemap promptly correct them to the translated slugs and URLs I have created?

    Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

That is happening because this is how the website was indexed and that’s why the language still appears in the sitemap.

To solve this, you will need to reindex your website and you will need to regenerate the RankMath Sitemap in order to be displayed correctly without including the Arabic pages.

If there’s anything else, please let me know!

Yes, thank you very much for your answer. My problem has been solved at this time.

I also have a question: Why did I add the Arabic language and when I switch to Arabic using the language switcher it produces a 500 server error? Entered a crash page.

But once I switched to another language, everything returned to normal. Is this a problem in some languages?

    Hello again,

The error happens because Arabic uses special non-Latin characters that require extra server/database support. If the server isn’t fully set to handle UTF-8 and right-to-left text, it can cause issues that don’t appear with languages using Latin characters. Checking the server logs and making sure the database and PHP setup fully support UTF-8 usually resolves this.

If there’s anything else, please let me know!
