In the Media Library, WordPress offers three text fields for images: Alt-text, Caption and Description. The content of these fields can be shown an a page, together with the image. When using TranslatePress (I’m testing it for portfolio purposes), I’m able to translate these three texts on the page where the image is inserted – that works fine. But what if the same image is repeated on multiple pages on the site, for example an image of a design that is part of multiple collections. Do I need to translate these texts for every instance (page) all over again? I was expecting some translation possibility in the media library itself (which then would be used every time the image is used), but could not find it. Did I overlook something?

    Cheers!

    Hi,

No, you don’t have to translate on each page the exact same strings.
This means that if a string is translated on a page (either by Google Translate or human-reviewed), then the same string found on another page will already have a translation. For example, you only need to translate the Menu items once, and they will be translated across the website.

    Kind Regards,
