I can’t seem to find a way for the English text on the “read-more” button to be translated to my language (Norwegian) like the rest of the website. (The languaage is set to Norwegian.)
In the theme documentation “– 8.4 Display Read More Button”, one can only choose to display the button or not.
The logical thing would perhaps be a field for “Alternative text on the button”. 🙂
Then the problem would be solved.

I’ve googled for solutions, but what I found, did not solve my problem.

    Please advise… 🙂

    Hi @christinbjornrud,

Since there are lot of text display on the frontend of the website by the theme it is not practical to give the option to translate them all from the backend/customizer.

However I will tell you how you should translate any WordPress theme or plugin.

There are two ways to translate a theme. First way is by manually translating a theme via a software like poedit. The second way is translate your theme via a plugin like Loco Translate.

Translating via Loco Translate is easier. https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/loco-translate/

This article explains how to translate it manually – https://wplang.org/translate-theme-plugin/

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I have already translated the BAM theme:
    Status 317 waiting:

But I don’t know when this translation will be approved. 😄

Wow! you have done a great contribution to the Bam theme and the Norwegian community who use Bam. Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.

It seems only two translation editors are there to request.

Unfortunately we cannot say when it will be approved. I will do my best to get it checked and approved.

    Again thank you very much.

Do you think this will resolve my problem, as I download mo and op files?

I couldn’t get in touch with the Norwegian translator team, so I hope it doesn’t take too long for the translation to be approved. 😄

    Hi @christinbjornrud,

I think you cannot even download the translations that you have provided until it gets approved. Can you?

When you download or export, it sends the file without the Norwegian translations since the translations are not approved.

When 90% of your strings approved your site’s theme text will be translated automatically.

However since it may take some time to get the approval I recommend you translating only the needed text like “Read More” via the Loco translate plugin.

I know it is difficult to do it again. 🙁
