Translations are contributed by volunteers and may not be complete or accurate you can ‘fix’ this locally, or you can submit translations here: http://wp-event-organiser.com/documentation/translating-event-organiser/ which allows you to add/correct translations and download the appropriate po & mo files, and those changes are then incorporated into the plug-in in the next major release.
Date/time formats use the WordPress settings, you can otherwise edit the templates to change to the format if desired.
