    Hi @phylophyl,

This is a question for The SEO Framework plugin, not this one 🙂

Nevertheless, this can’t be done from your child theme.
But, you can translate that word here: https://translate.ww.wp.xz.cn/projects/wp-plugins/autodescription

In which language would you like it to be translated? So I might be able to give you more guidance.

Also, if you’re unable to correctly translate it, then you might wish to disable the following option in the Description Meta Settings on the SEO Settings page:
Add Blogname to automated description additions?

    Cheers! 🙂

    Hello Sybre,
thanks for the answer. The language is french. It would be faster to separate translations for admin settings and translations directly visible from the readers. Since i have decided to pay to use your plugin, i can’t spend so much time to translate admin strings that are not necessary to me.

    Hi @phylophyl,

I’ve just translated that word “on” to “sur”.
Because there’s no translation editor for French yet, the translations aren’t being pushed automatically.

ww.wp.xz.cn also doesn’t allow me to separate translation files.
However, the word on/sur is the only front-facing word in this plugin.

    What you have to do:
    1. Go here (all) or here (sur).
    2. At the bottom, for export, select “only matching the filter”.
    3. Export the .po/.pot file.
    4. Export the .mo file.

Store those files on your computer where you can easily access them.
Adjust the file names, so they look like this:

    autodescription-fr_FR.po
    autodescription-fr_FR.mo

Open FTP, and go to this folder:

    wp-content/languages/plugins/

Upload the two translation files in that folder.

    That’s it 🙂

I hope the French translations will be updated by contributors soon enough.
Luckily, there are no more front-facing words planned. So you’re all set after doing the above for the upcoming year or so :).
WordPress also maintains those files – so if it requires an update WordPress will take care of it.

    Cheers!
