    Hey there,

I have a multisite with 3 languages and use your plugin.

When I create a page on the admin site (main site), I do make the modification of the content at the bottom of this same page, in the space dedicated to the two other languages. NEVERTHELESS, when I click to the checkbox “Translation completed” and after that Publish the content, the page load again and the checkbox becomes empty (as I didn’t click on it).

The only way to translate my content today is a bit heavy:

    – On admin site, I write the content for a page A, and make the modification on same page for other languages. I click Publish.

    – I have to go then to the French site, and see that page A is a draft. So I have to make it public.

    – I have to then to the English site, and see that page A is a draft. So I have to make it public.

Moreover, the language switcher doesn’t appear on my Menu section (for every language). It only appears on the widget section.

Could you help me with all of that please? Your plugin seems powerfull!

    Thanks

    Hilaire

I will add that when I save the page A on the main site language, the Page A in french and english is duplicated (both in draft). I don’t know why..

I have the updated version of Multilingualpress..

    Thanks!

    Hey Hilaire,

it is by design that you cannot publish a translation post (i.e., a post in a remote site) via the Translation meta box. You can only create drafts, and have to publish each post individually from its according site.

The Translation completed checkbox is for the dashboard widget – which is broken, unfortunately. We have this on our list and will take care of that…

Each site in your network has individual menu and widget settings, so you have to set up your language (sub)menu and/or Language Switcher widget for every site individually. If you have trouble with this, maybe have a look at this presentation. Navigate with SPACE and SHIFT+SPACE.

Regarding your follow-up post, can you confirm that you have MultilingualPress 2.5.4 installed? It was released just about two weeks ago.
I take it you are using the advanced translator, with the full TinyMCE editor in the meta box, right?

    Cheers,
    Thorsten

    Hey Thorsten,

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I confirm I have the 2.5.4 version (I installed it a couple days ago).

I think I do use the advanced translator. I quote this option: “Use the WYSIWYG editor to write all translations on one screen, including thumbnails and taxonomies.”

Thanks a lot for your help,

    Hilaire

    Hey Thorsten,

    Any Help?

    Thanks

    Hilaire

    Hey Hilaire,

sorry, no. So far, I’m unable to reproduce this.
I will further investigate this in the next few days, though.

Do you have anything special in your setup? Can/Did you try with all other plugins turned off, and a default theme? Do you have any MU plugins that might interfere? Something else?

Also, which one of the two draft posts is connected to your initial post? The one with the lower or with the higher post ID?

    Thanks in advance,
    Thorsten
