    Hi,

    I tried to translate the:

    Username or Email

field label, but in vain, this string is not available in the Hungarian language file. I tried to refresh the po/mo language files form pot file, with Poedit, but the current pot file is wrong, based on the Poedit and the process was unsuccessful.

I also tried Loco, but is also didn’t find this label, as string.

Please be so kind and help to fix the problem.

As urgent solution for me would be also enught to directly rewrite the file code, which includes these expression.

    Thank you very much!

    Hi,

What do you mean by the current pot file is wrong?

    Kind regards.

    Hi,

In Poedit is available the function, which can refesh the po/mo files, based on the all time pot file.

As the mentioned expressions were not available in the po/mo files as sting (also Loco didn’t find these) I tried to refresh the po/mo files this way. But Poedit cannot make it, I receive error messages, the pot file is wrong.

    Thank you!

Hi, the Hungarian translation has many strings missing unfortunately. Your best option is to create a new po file following these instructions.

    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/translate-simple-membership-plugin/

Let me know if this helps you.

    Kind regards.

    Hi,

I tried exactly this process previously, as I mentioned.

The only problem is that the current pot file is wrong. Just please try to follow your description in Poedit and you will see also the error message.

Please be so kind and send me the download link of the correct file.

    Thank you very much!

Hi, we found that Poedit produces this error message however Loco Translate plugin doesn’t. Please check the following documentation. Let me know if this helps you.

Hi, I know this article, but it doesn’t help, I have a Hungarian language files, with missing strings.

Hi, I understand what you mean. The documentation can also be used to add more translated strings to other languages for example Hungarian. Then you can keep the po and mo file safe in the special location setup by Loco Translation plugin. That way when you update the plugin you will not loose your translated strings.

Let me know if this makes sense to you.

    Kind regards.

Hi, I tried it previously, but Loco also didn’t find the mentioned strings in case of the Hungarian language. Honestly, I cannot imagine, why is so large problem to grant Poedit compatible pot file, since Poedit is the market leader software to translate WordPress related plugind and themes.
    Thank you.

Hi, I just checked the string in the Hungarian po file and it is there. Please see below.

    https://translate.ww.wp.xz.cn/projects/wp-plugins/simple-membership/dev/hu/default/?filters%5Bterm%5D=username&filters%5Bterm_scope%5D=scope_any&filters%5Bstatus%5D=current_or_waiting_or_fuzzy_or_untranslated&filters%5Buser_login%5D=&filter=Apply+Filters&sort%5Bby%5D=priority&sort%5Bhow%5D=desc

There must be some type of conflict with your po file. Why don’t you export the po file from the following link.

    https://translate.ww.wp.xz.cn/projects/wp-plugins/simple-membership/dev/hu/default/

Then change the po file name to the correct name as per our translations and uploaded to your site. Then use Loco Translate plugin to edit the string and update the remaining strings. Don’t use Poedit because it will produce the error you mentioned above.

Let me know how you go.

    Kind regards.

    Hi,

Because I wouldn’t like to start again the translation and my previous Hungarian language files were fully translated, regarding to the frontend strings, until this version of the plugin.

Until this I updated my po/mo files asusually, based on the all time pot file, witout any problem.

Since I activated the plugin more than 10 websites, as developer, for me this way was the standard and efficient.

    Thank you.

You can use Loco Translate plugin to do the same as Poedit app. Unfortunately at present Poedit is generating this error message, however Loco Translate plugin does not.

    Kind regards.
