    Hi,

    I’ve got the following problem:

I’ve edited the language files with POedit and named them as they should be named (“profile-builder-de_DE”) for German. I’ve set the site language to German as well. Unfortunately, it still shows the English descriptions in registration-mails, on the login page etc.

What could be the problem and how can I fix this?

    Thanks,
    Dennis

    Hi Dennis,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We’ve setup a new environment for making it really easy to translate Profile Builder in any language, as well as downloading the translation files.

For example German translation is already 78% complete, so it would be great if you could help and add your translated strings there, so that other users may benefit from them.

Then on the page bottom click Export and select the .po and then the .mo files.

You need to rename them: profile-builder-de_DE.mo and profile-builder-de_DE.po and place them in the Translation directory in the plugin.

Then in the WP back-end UI, under Settings go to Site Language and select German. This way all your Profile Builder strings will be in German.

We’ll also make sure to include all the translations updates in each plugin update.

Another solution would be to use the Labels Edit add-on (docs) to change the Profile Builder strings. With the add-on you should be able to translate the Email notifications sent by Profile Builder.

Let me know if this is what you are looking for.

    Best regards,

    Hi Teodor,

while it didn’t work for me with editing the .po / .mo files, the other solution with the Labels Edit add-on did. Now everything’s translated 🙂

    Thanks,
    Dennis
