I don’t understand what you don’t understand. I thought that I explained very detailed. I don’t know if you are to hurry or my english is so bad. Unfortunately you don’t write, what you did understand and what was insufficient explained.

I don’t think that it’s helpfull to insert “my” translations, because anyone else can say that this would not be the correct translation of the original. So YOU have to give the correct template and all others can follow.
I’m very astonished that you are “Lead Developer @ WordPress”. I don’t know how many lead developer are in the world of wordpress… but my understanding is very much more customer oriented. Or is lead developer accurate the opposite of this?

Your recommendation to use another plugin

So much plugins and a worse search plattform. Users are able to search with a bunch of words but not to filter or group by categories. AND: with NO exclusions?
Thats ALL?
i ) No classification by supported languages! (one, many, western, eastern, asia, …)
ii ) No classification by manipulation of schema of database (yes-no) (important for clean deinstallation)
iii ) No classification by “single-wordpress” or “multisite”
iv ) No classification for main groups (
– graphics,
– management,
– internal presentation for admin,
– external presentation for guest/users,
– import, export, backup,
– security,
– comfort,
– shop-system,
… and so on, and so on) … NOTHING!!!

It’s not helpfull to select the plugins (and themes and…) by words without any further “database oriented help”. Filter via categories, checkboxes and radio buttons.
v ) classification by “being up to date” (not only check the number of wordpress) but by:
– “last update” (amount of months — seldom a plugin is helpfull whith a last update that is 3 years ago!) AND
– frequent updates AND
– successfull support requests.

ALL these options COULD be selected by YES/NO (click).
=> Provider of plugins & themes have to classify their plugin into categoeries (see above) and users could find (fast and comfortable) “A” plugin.
=> Provider have to check these categories at the first presenation mandatory AND if a new categorie is invented a old plugin will be an offer ONLY if the provider updated the categories of his plugin. (thats a good way to filter plugins which are no longer active supported by the provider)
=> Provider of plugins & themes have to offer a guidance for clean DEINSTALLATION! (therefor a classification for “schema manipulation” is mandarory! (only deactivation and “deleting the files deinstallation” of a plugin is not a complete deinstallation!)

I write “A” plugin because there is another problem:

You know that I’m native german … I have to translate most german terms into english ones. I think that you know on your own, that one translation is not the same to another because the translater uses other terms. IF I search for a term that I don’t use frequently then I look into a dictionary. But there are some alternatives to choose. And then there is the possibility that professionals use a term that is not in the dictionary.
The result is, that users who want to find a plugin or a theme, have to choose the right terms to find the right solution. Intentional misspelling for marketing purpose (wordplay) is on top!
It’s also not helpfull if I search “the correct term” (example FTP) if “my solution” could be found by “import”.

vii ) NO possibility to EXCLUDE special results! (If I don’t have a shop, then I’m not interested in ANY result for woocommerce and other solutions!)

And IF I got the first plugin … THEN I have to test ALL features IF they are suitable for my purpose. WHAT a horrible time waste! And if this plugin manipulates my database with own tables … then I have to deinstallate this plugin and try the second?
