Transparent Frames or Background Help

Hi there,

I am putting together a website for my school group and I just don’t know enough about wordpress to get whats in my head onto the screen.

I am trying to find a way to keep the seal/logo in the back mostly transparent and have it scroll down with the page, so that it serves as the background without any true widget or main frames/boxes delineating the parts of the page. I am trying to have the logo start below the header though (currently a white square as I was playing with transparency options (didn’t work!)), and scroll down with the page. Any tips or suggestions?
