I would like to make the blue header on the top of all my pages transparent, in the header options there is an opacity slider, but when you turn it down to 0 and press ‘Save & Publish’ the opacity of the header is gone and it’s back to the original blue, also this slider is only available on my home page.

My site is http://allthingsben.hol.es/ (ignore the domain name, I’m using a free one for the time being)

And the template I’m using is Tesseract by Tyler Moore

    Hello!

The header is actually not in front of the photo, it is on top of the photo. Thus, realize changing the photo’s opacity would only change the color to a lighter color because nothing is behind it.

I can tell because both elements are block elements and are therefore stacked one on top of the other.

@christystjohn When I lower the opacity of the header in the header options, the image moves up thus making the header transparent, but like I said when I press ‘Save & Publish’ the opacity disapears and I’m still left with the blue header.
See this screenshot which shows what the page looks like when the page customizer is open and the opacity of the header is turned fully down

Oh I see, I misunderstood the problem. Does it work if the opacity is set at 1? I ask because 0 may be an impossible setting for the header’s opacity for this theme

@christystjohn Yup works at 1, but it kinda looks weird, just wondered if there was any way of permanently keeping it at 100% opacity

That would be a question for Tyler (the theme creator)

@christystjohn I’ve already contacted him, but he hasn’t responded, thanks for all your help though
