Hi Alice Kaye,
Are you wanting to make the toolbar completely transparent or just work with the opacity to make it less solid in color?
You can manage the opacity of the toolbar in the Styles tab in two places. There is the “Toolbar” section in the Styles tab where there are two settings for opacity. One is the “Toolbar Opacity” then by “Shadow” on the bottom of that section there is “Opacity”.
Then there is, in the “Dropdown Menus” section of the Styles tab, “Opacity”.
The lower you make the numbers in those boxes, the more transparent the toolbar and the items in the toolbar become.
I hope that helps some.
Thanks for choosing WP Symposium Toolbar.
Hi Central Geek,
Thank you so much for responding to me! I’m wanting to just make the background of the bar transparent, not the words. I know I can change the opacity, I saw that option but when brought down to 0, it took the words away with it.
Is there a chunk of CSS that could achieve this?
Thanks again!
Hi Alice Kaye,
Sorry for the late reply.
I will try and give you a better reply, but it is going to take me a little time. Will a couple days be workable for you?
Hi Central Geek,
Sorry for some reason I didn’t get an email that said you responded.
I’m actually good on this. I managed to make it match my site really well. But a transparent option might be great for others! 🙂
Thanks for replying, I am sorry that I missed it!
I owe you an apology as well. I intended to take a closer look at it. We have been discussing adding that feature back to the toolbar and I was sent a possible solution to take a look at, but haven’t had time to test it myself. I am going to be doing that in case there is a call for it from someone else before we implement it.
