    Hello,
To cut a long story short I am a witness in a medical malpractice tribunal, and the surgery where the doctor works has organised a vicious trolling attack against myself, and the other witnesses. In my case they have set up a website using stolen photos and wording from my website, and making every attempt to spread lies and malicious content about me. This includes sharing the names and some personal details of my young daughters. The website is on wordpress.

Is there any way in which I can contact wordpress, or take steps to have this content taken down from the internet?

Thank you very much for any help that you can offer me, it is all very appreciated

  • Sorry for the unfortunate situation you find yourself in.

But ww.wp.xz.cn (where you are now) only provides the open source WordPress software. People come here to download the software and put it on a hosting provider of their own choosing to run their WordPress site.

As ww.wp.xz.cn does not host any user’s WordPress site content, there’s nothing that can be done here to help you.

You’ll need to find out the hosting provider hosting the WordPress website in question and contact them.

(Here’s an analogy: suppose someone typed a letter on their computer and had it published in a newspaper to libel you. You can hardly make a case with the computer manufacturer because they have zero control over the said letter. It’s the newspaper that “hosted” the letter that you may have to deal with.)

    Hi George,
Thank you very much for your help, and for taking the time to answer my question. I suspected that this would be the case, but I just wanted to double check in case there could be a direct solution.

    Thanks again for your input.
    All the best
