Verify that the permissions of the t-plugins folder is set to at least 775 in your FTP program. So you can not install the plugin from the dashboard using either the Add New plugin (WP Repository) or Ad New (Upload .zip file) ? First we have heard of this issue… can you include a link to your page so we can see if there is wonkeyness going on with your theme?
Website is smashny.com… And no, I’ve tried to both ways and I cannot successfully activate the plugin… It always says”plugin doesn’t have a valid header”. How/where do I check the permissions of the t-plugins folder in my FTP program?
I set the permissions of the folder to 777. Still not working…

OK, we googled around a bit, and we have something for you to try. Please open up the plugin’s readme.txt file and near the top of the file change the line that reads:
Tested up to: 3.6-beta
to:
Tested up to: 3.5.1
Please let us know if this works for you.
I did all of the aforementioned through my FTP application. When I refresh everything, the countdown plugin still does not show up or is activated when I go to “Installed Plugins” on my dashboard… :(((
