trouble adding second domain

    hi, I am new to WP and trying to add a second domain to my WP account. I have followed the multisite instructions and the domain mapping and that all went well but when adding the sites the problems start.

    I want to add a second domain with a new template to my WP account (emdesign.nl). I have added a site: melondust.emdesign.nl and mapped it to melondust.nl. But then nothing happens. I can’t access the dashboard and get an error message that it cannot find melondust.emdesign.nl.

    Both domains are with the same provider and in the same hosting package. I own both of them and have them in one FTP folder under separate folders. I tried to clone my WP account to melondust and that worked but then I was getting trouble in the WP main dashboard as it was not showing both domains in one account. I could access both accounts but not see them together. I had to log in with the same login details but under different domains.

    I then decided to delete the clone and start again by installing WP in the melondust FTP folder. The mapping etc worked only then I had to create a new WP account, which is what I don’t want to do. So I have deleted it again.

    It seems to be looking for WP content in the melondust.nl folder on the FTP which of course is not in there as it is linked in the emdesign.nl folder.

    Hope this all makes sense as I am totally lost at the moment trying to work it out. What am I doing wrong? I have spent 3 days trying to work it out and it just isn’t working.

    When I visit your sub-domain, I see this message:

    This IP is being shared among many domains.
    To view the domain you are looking for, simply enter the domain name in the location bar of your web browser.

    Have you been in touch with your host as I’m sure they’ll know how to resolve this for you as I am reading a few different solutions for this when searching.

    Thank you ThemeSumo, it’s correct I have three domains on this IP. They are all hosted by the same provider and are part of the same hosting package. I will contact my provider and see if he can fix this for me.
