I am trying to import my content from my .com site, but having troubles. Only a few of my media files have transferred but no posts or anything else. I got a message for a lot of it that said the files already exist but I can’t find them. Help is much appreciated!

Try the following: http://www.problogger.net/archives/2009/01/03/how-to-move-from-wordpresscom-to-wordpressorg/

Also make sure the information in your wp-config.php is correct (that your database prefix in your, etc.).

How large is your export file?
Were you previously using your domain name on your wordpress.com site?
