  • I don’t know this theme, but the first thing you should do is ensure that you’ve set the permissions correctly for uploading.

Ensure that you have set the ‘wp-content’ folder to 777.

Thanks HorrorUK, but what exactly does this mean and how do I do this?

In your FTP software, right click on the ‘wp-content’ folder and then select Permissions from the menu that appears.

This will bring up a new screen, and you’ll see a number in there, change that number to 777.

    Hi Horror UK,

Thanks you, that did make some changes. I was able to directly download the theme from the website. However, when I attempted to “activate” the theme, I received a message stating that the the theme was broken and that I would be reverted back to my default theme.

However, now when I attempt to visit my site, all I see is a blank page.

Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks again!

To get rid of the white screen, go into your FTP and remove the theme you uploaded.

    you’ll find it in:
    wp-content/themes

It may have been a bad upload, so you could try it again, or if the same thing happens, you could manually upload the theme, see if that helps.

I think I should be all set now! Thank you so much!

    No problem :o)
