    Hi
I’m looking to move from All in One SEO and followed the instructions to install TSF and migrate using SEO Data Transporter.

My theme is Eleven40 (Genesis) from Studiopress. All my stuff is up to date on the latest versions.

I activate TSF and the Transporter plugin, then Analyze (250 records founds) and then convert (it tells me the 250 records have been updated). However, then when I check the TSF section of my posts the data (i.e. Meta description) has not been changed to reflect what was in AIOSEO.

I also have the W3TC caching plugin and tried turning off the Object cache before commencing migration as well with no luck.

    Any ideas?

    thanks

UPDATE – Seems like it’s pulling in the correct meta descriptions for Pages but not Posts. So unlikely to be a caching issue.

Any ideas on this? Not having the migration working for users moving from AIOSEO is preventing growing your userbase!

    Hello!

Ever since AIOSEO has been bought by Awesome Motive, we have no idea what’s going on with the plugin.

Many other users are experiencing the same issue as you; alas, with no solution provided: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/all-in-one-seo-to-yoast-migration-no-meta-descriptions/.

I’m afraid there’s no proven workaround, either. You could try importing the data to Yoast SEO via their plugin, and then from Yoast SEO to The SEO Framework via SEO Data Transporter… but that’s quite cumbersome! Another resolution would be to reinstate the data manually via the WordPress interface… or even ignore the issue altogether (Google and TSF are great at creating descriptions for you).

Nevertheless, I took note of the many hurdles present with transporting SEO data, and a proper transporter for TSF is scheduled: https://github.com/sybrew/the-seo-framework/issues/548.
