Troubles with sorting

    Hi there I am not sure if the sorting issue I have with Holme network, my hosting service or with the plugin but I hope I can get some direction. I custom sort my images in each of my Galleries and three of them have over 1500 images in them and I currently cannot get all of the images to display. It just hangs and unless I go back on my browser or the browser times out. It has been some time since I did this so I can’t say when these issues came up. I have checked settings and cannot find any thing that stands out as an issue. I have many more issues to add to these galleries but if I can’t sort them there’s zero point in adding them IMO.

    Sorry I should add that I have had this issue with both of my computers which run two different OSes and three different browsers.

    Hi @oxbladder,

    Sorting images is a pretty heavy procedure on both the site’s resources and frontend especially in case of the galleries containing a large amount of images. Honestly, I am unsure if this will anyhow help, but you can give it a try and max out time_limit PHP parameter then try again to see if that will change anything.

    Using NextGen, I’d prefer to split the images into more galleries that are let’s say up to 200 images and that would be highly beneficial both for the gallery management and for the gallery page loading speed.
