TROUBLESHOOTING – suggestion

I have had a few issues with WP clone although so far it has eventually worked.

Just some suggestions that have worked for me in different situations

1) Try deleting the wp clone plugin and then re-uploading it from the repository. This has fixed issues a couple of times for me

2) For problems with a restored site Check Settings > Media If there is a file path showing in the uploads field, try deleting it and save

3) For SQL gone away errors when you are trying to make a backup use Advanced options and put 1000 in the script execution time box.

Please note that I an not expert – just found these solutions over time with the help of googling and felt it might be useful to share here.
