Hi,
It could be a browser extension like Ad Blocker or uBlock Origin causing the issue.
We’ve seen some recent changes in these add-ons where they’re getting more aggressive in their blocking.
They now appear to block any script with the word “affiliate” or “aff” in it.
Because our plugin folder is called “thirstyaffilites” these blockers are preventing our scripts from running because it matches “aff” or “affiliate”.
Try disabling them and see if that helps.
Thanks.`
Thanks for the heads up. Yes, it was Ublock Origin, disabling it did allow the widgets to load in the editor.
As I’d prefer to keep running my blockers etc. what’s the likelihood that the plugin folder will be renamed or some other remedy implemented, in future releases?
Hi, there isn’t really a way to get around the ad blocker if people have it, unfortunately.
It is advised to have the ad blocker(s) disabled if possible because changing the plugin’s name is not likely to happen.
The only thing we can really suggest is using the Pretty Links plugin instead.
Thanks and understandable.
As I am not needing the TS editor widgets for my use case, it’s not a big issue having them not load with my blocker enabled. I am trying to use the TS cloaked links in Visual Link Preview.
