This is a dev site. I’m currently using check or (test) stripe when processing. Both go to “on hold” (I am using auth but not capture in my stripe settings.)

I don’t want an extra e-mail sent when it changes to “processing.” As such, I went into woocommerce>settings>emails. Then I clicked on “manage” for the processing e-mail. I unchecked the box for “enable…”

Now, when I complete checkout, it still goes to the correct URL, something like:
    https://budgetdiscmakers.com/checkout/order-received/3216/?key=wc_order_SnUer8z5JYCGw

except it gives a 404 error (goes to my default page not found page)

When I turn this notification back on, the problem goes away. This is really weird, since:
    1. Orders don’t go to “processing” initially
    2. This shouldn’t even happen if I AM going to “processing”

I just upgraded to the latest woocommerce. I don’t know if this was a problem before or not, because I previously had not turned off this e-mail.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @toddpinil,

I haven’t been able to duplicate this behavior and can’t think of any default reason this would be occurring.

Have you verified that there are no plugin or theme conflicts happening here?

The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin is to temporarily switch your theme to Storefront (https://woocommerce.com/storefront/?aff=10486&cid=1131038) and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce.
I’m fairly confident you’ll be able to find the issue by trying this step.

If not, is your site logging any fatal errors in the WooCommerce status log section when this 404 happens? (WooCommerce > Status > Logs > fatal-errors-[date])

Let me know if you have any further issues!

    Thank you,
    Joey

Ahh good suggestion. I did disable all plugins, but didn’t try changing themes. Franky, I’m getting tired of the “developers” who created the “theme” that I’m using. It seems to be some people who can vaguely code, but basically tracked down every plugin under the sun, slapped it all together, and called it a “theme.” As a matter of fact, I just asked my host service to migrate my old site (storefront theme) to my dev server so I can avoid all of their b.s.
I’ll get back to you either way if this resolves the issue.

    Thanks,
    Todd
