• I just switched from Twenty Ten to Twenty Twelve for responsiveness, but I’m still on version 4.9.10 of WordPress and it doesn’t give me the option to upgrade.

Should I upgrade or am I okay to stay here?

I think there may have been things about the editor in newer versions that I didn’t like. I may have gone backwards on purpose. Can’t remember.

Am I missing anything by not running a newer version of WordPress?

If you want to change your theme, you must first install the desired theme. Go to Appeareance > Themes, click on “Add Theme”, search for “TwentyTwelve” and install it.
