To show/hide the twitter Avatar you have to check on the “Display Avatar Image” in the widget settings.

I think that this issue is resolved
No its not resolved. When I click that option all that shows up is “Tweet Avatar” with a square around it. No actual avatar appears.

I see that the Avatar images are not loading in the tweets
Please try disabling other plugins as they may be conflicting and let me know if the issue is fixed or not.

Figured it out. It seems that the Photon feature in the WordPress Jetpack plugin conflicts with your plugin and just deactivating the Photon feature in the Jetpack settings resolves the problem. Thanks.
