Jeremy Herve, is Jetpack using Twitter API v1 or v1.1?
The Twitter timeline widget doesn’t use the Twitter API; it is embedded into your site via an iFrame, and hosted on Twitter.com. I’m afraid you won’t be able to control how often the timeline is updated, as Twitter doesn’t offer such option.

Any idea why my gf’s timeline has missing tweets? You will see the timeline is missing several tweets from yesterday.

You might want to check the widget settings here:
https://twitter.com/settings/widgets
It’s possible that replies are not included in the widget, for example.

I notes it’s only with tweets that begin with “@”.

To solve this problem, you will want to change the widget settings to include replies as well. You can do so by editing the widget you created here:
