There is an idle column in comments table–comment_karma. A plugin needs to be developed to add the interface on the comment form and update that column.

i want to create a two column comment system. instead of one column of block elements, i want two floated columns of block elements, one for those commenters who agree with an idea i’ve posted, and another for those who disagree.
can anyone tell me where i might begin in my efforts to adapt the wordpress system to display a layout like this? i envision one comment form, virtually identical to a ‘normal’ comment form, except there is a prominent ‘agree’ toggle, and a mated ‘disagree’ toggle.
any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
