Hi @konishkichen, we’re here to help! That is indeed unusual behavior, and we have not received any recent reports about this yet, so we need to check on a few things to help us determine what’s causing this issue and possibly replicate it in our test environment for us to come up with a solution.
First, please describe how the issue occurs. What was your last site action before you got logged out? Were you editing a post, etc? Are there any messages when logged out? If so, please paste it here.
Next, kindly double-check your browsers for any extensions and try to disable them to see if it helps. Check also your browser’s cookies settings to ensure they aren’t being blocked. I’d also suggest ensuring that your server and device time zones match.
If the issue persists, temporarily disable the Solid Security features by following this guide (don’t forget to add the snippet for disabling 2FA). Once logged in, check your Security > Logs > All Events to see if there are suspicious logs. If so, check the log’s Raw Details to learn more about it. Try adding your IP address to the Authorized Hosts list in Security > Settings > Global Settings to see if that helps. Don’t forget to remove the code snippets you added earlier to re-enable the Solid Security features.
Hope this helps, and let us know how it goes with the troubleshooting steps.
Hi,
Thanks for the quick feedback! It didn’t matter which page I was on – from the dashboard, to the user profile and security settings, it kept happening each and every time.
I can rule out any extensions since I also tried two browsers that I don’t usually use and therefore have no extensions installed. Cookies are allowed and the time zones match as well. I whitelisted my IP but that didn’t help either.
Unfortunately the logs are empty.
Best regards,
Manuela
Hi @konishkichen, thanks for ruling out the recommended steps!
The next step is to determine whether this behavior only happens when Solid Security is active on the site or if it conflicts with another plugin/theme’s feature.
To do so, please proceed with a conflict check by following this guide: Checking for a Conflict. While amid conflict-checking, please also try to tweak the following Solid Security settings that can potentially conflict with another plugin/theme’s feature:
- Disabling the Default Ban List in Security > Settings > Features > Firewall > Ban Users – Default Ban List
- Disabling the Disable PHP in Plugins in Security > Settings > Features > Advanced > System Tweaks – PHP Execution
- Enabling the XML-RPC in Security> Settings> > Features > Advanced > WordPress Tweaks – Enable XML-RPC and allowing Default Access to the REST API
If the conflict check did not help, kindly send the following information:
– A copy of your Site Health Info (so I can try to create a somewhat similar test environment)
– Related errors from your site’s debug.log file that were logged when the issue occurred (when you got logged out of the site). If you can’t find the file, you must enable WP Debug first.
– Recent errors from your server’s PHP error logs.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi,
Thanks a lot for the tips! The healthcheck plugin didn’t help unfortunately – the issue didn’t appear there, even when activating all plugins and our theme as didn’t the settings you suggested.
Is there any to send this data to you privately?
Best regards,
Manuela
Hi @konishkichen, thanks for trying out the tips.

Thank you!
Hi,
Thank you, I sent all the information through.
