Hello, I have two questions for the plugin:

Am I right, that it creates “copies” of my images in webp/avif and saves them – where? In a separate folder, I guess? Or does it mix up with the original images?

And second, does it work seamlessly with any CDN? So, if I have a CDN activated (not Cloudflare, but BunnyCDN), will the avif images be delivered automatically, too?

    Thank you,
    Sandra

    Hello @spoodes ,

The WebP and AVIF versions are stored in a separate folder, compressx-nextgen, which is located within the /wp-content directory. Please note that CompressX currently only supports Cloudflare CDN.

    Kind regards.

Thank you! The first sounds good – but the thing with the CDN … hm, I hoped, the rewrite rule would work anyway (just not the cache purging).

    Thanks!

    Hello @spoodes

    You are welcome.

What do you mean by ‘the rewrite rule would work anyway (just not the cache purging)’?

    Thanks for coming back.

I assumed (rather hoped) the rewrite rule would work with any CDN automatically – while entering the Cloudflare Acccount Data (as seen in the plugin-screenshot) would only additionally provide an automatic Cache Purge when changes on the page happen.

I think, BunnyCDN is also quite common, maybe you can integrate it in a future version. 😊

    Hello @spoodes

    Thanks for the information.

We are definitely going to consider checking the possibility of BunnyCDN integration in a future version.

    All the best,
