Is it possible to duplicate a page without it immediately opening the page editor? I would like to simply click “Duplicate Page” from the Pages list in the WordPress Dashboard, and stay in that view until I’m ready to open the new page for editing. I thought it used to work this way in the past, but I cannot remember for certain.

Also as I was looking through the plugin’s settings I noticed an option to tick enabling “Navigation Menus.” I wondered if there is a guide or documentation on using this feature? I would be interested in seeing that if so.

Thank you for providing this free plugin. It has been very useful to me.

    Hi @boogieted

Could you check if you are using the latest version of Yoast Duplicate Post v4.4? It’s expected that if you use the ‘clone’ feature for a new post or page, it would still stay in the overview section/list for the posts or pages but just create a new draft/copy of that post or page.

We’re not familiar with the ‘navigation menus’ that you’re referring to. Is this coming from the WP admin dashboard > Settings (sidebar) > Duplicate Post menu section? If so, could you attach a screenshot of what it is you are referring to (you can use imgur.com or snipboard.io to upload a screenshot and share a link) so we can check on this further?

Yes, I’m using v4.4. In my list of Pages in the WordPress dashboard, I do not see a “clone” command for all of the pages. Many of them have a “Duplicate” command, which then opens a new copy of the page in the editor (see screenshot).

Under Yoast Duplicate Post Settings, permissions tab, there’s a check-box for Navigation Menus (see 2nd screenshot).

    Hi @boogieted

That ‘duplicate page’ option in the first screenshot doesn’t seem to be from the Yoast Duplicate Post plugin.

If you were to tick the box for ‘navigation menus’ in the Yoast Duplicate Post settings and save the changes, and then go to the Navigation Menus overview page, are you then able to locate the ‘clone’ and ‘rewrite & republish’ options for that particular content type?

The navigation menu thing doesn’t work. No clone options show at menu overview.
