Two step hyperlinks?
-
At some point since the beginning of the year WP Edit added an extra click to add hyperlinks.
In the current version a user clicks Insert/edit Link, and a small box pops up with a text box (for the link address), an Apply button, and a Link options button. Since I need to scroll through my list of previous entries to find the post I want to link to, I click on the Link options button, and then get the original hyperlink box, which gives the option to either enter a hyperlink or scroll through previous posts.
Since the original box also enabled the user to enter a hyperlink and apply it with a single click, I am wondering why we now have this new method with the minimal function text box. It has added nothing useful, but made it a little slower to get to the list of previous posts.
What is it I’m missing? What is the problem that the new method solves? Thanks!
