• Hello!

I’ve just tried to make a backup of my website and got two warnings. Please see the log below. Note: Filenames etc. has been removed, but the messages are there in full length. How do I resolve the issues?

    Thanks in advance

    Best regards Thomas

Came the massages on all backups ?

Yes, it comes in all the backups I’ve tested with. But the result file seems to work fine, so it is something I shall be nervous for, or can I just ignore a warning in general?

You don’t should ignore it. because sometime the archives are damaged. It depends on where exactly the message cames up. On upload the process will corect it automaticly.

Ok, I changed a few settings for the server load, and it seem to work much better. Mostly I got the issues while uploading to Dropbox, so I think it works as expected.
Could you kindly do one of two things:
    1. Make a working restore process for the plugin, so it can restore from a backup?2. Or if 1. is impossible at the moment, then update the FAQ with some relevant restore information. Right now you are linking to tutorials and documentation for restoring the WordPress database only, not the exact backup. The tutorial you are mentioning tells nothing about how to restore, only how to backup manually.

I myself might find a way around this, and I am 90 percents sure about what to do. But while reading reviews about this plugin by googling a little many people are mentioning that it isn’t complete because it can’t restore a backup from e.g. Dropbox, so I decided to look at your documentation, and I think I will agree on, that if you can’t make some restoring processes then hopefuly you can make some good tutorials on how to restore from a BackWPup-backupfile.

    Thanks in advance.

The restore will be easier in future.
