We have a few customers unable to checkout on our site. The postal code is hidden, since UAE do not use postal codes. However, checkout is not possible with the error Postal Code is not valid being displayed.

Checkout by direct bank transfer is fine, I guess no validation performed.

    Cheers

    Hi there,

Can you confirm what country your store is based in? Square specifically requires postal code validation if your store is based in certain countries – namely USA, Canada, and the UK – in which case the postal code validation can’t be removed.

If your store is based in Japan or Australia however, it may be possible to remove the postal code validation on the Square payment form.

You can find out more about this here:
    https://developer.squareup.com/blog/no-billing-postal-code-no-problem/

    I hope that helps.

    Hi,

UK. So I assume then that customers from UAE need to use another payment method in that case.

Hi Ian – I have replied to your question directly over email but for others’ benefit I’ll reiterate here that Square offers support for payments in US, Canada, Japan, Australia, and the United Kingdom. The information about country compatibility is on the product page for WooCommerce Square at the bottom of the right hand column as for our other extensions.

Here’s the link giving the compatibility information directly from Square: https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/4956-international-availability

I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread. Thanks for your understanding!
