Unable to add hyperlinks

    I am editing a page and when I click to add a hyperlink, all I get is a blank box.
    This has been going on since I upgraded to wordpress 4.0 Coincidence? I use the Cotton template.

    please provide link to your website

    I know it’s sometimes easier to add a link using the “box” but you can also add a link manually to your page or post.

    Are you using the visual editor or the text editor when you are creating page or post?

    Thanks for the help! The site is http://www.spoonsacrossamerica.org

    I’m using the visual editor. I’m also pretty new to all of this, and just took over website responsibilities from a colleague.

    How do I add a link manually?

    if you are using visual editor, it might not work well for you to add link manually.

    if you are using the text editor here resource about how to set up a basic text link manually
