I am unable to create a pattern. When i try, the naming section is blocked by so I am unable to name the pattern. This results in me not being able to save a pattern.

Does creating a pattern with custom plugin work? How to Create and Register Block Patterns in WordPress (wpastra.com). This can give us an information if this is a general problem or just a problem with Gutenberd editor on your site.

That’s good news. Basically, something specific to your website + Gutenberd editor makes you unable to create pattern.

I have tested creating a pattern on WordPress Playground.
