    Page is password protected: kadence

Created page with tabbed row and can’t delete empty tab at end of row (Tab 8).

Icon appears above tab with delete ‘x’ bt doesn’t delete.

    Any options here?

    Thx

As a follow on. I looked at the code and could see that there is no unique Tab block (i.e. <!– wp:kadence/tab ) for TAB 8. TRied to recreate based on another tab, but failed miserably as requires unique ID and couldn’t figure out how to generate πŸ™

Page code posted here if that helps to analyse?

Please do not post large code or responses like that here, it doesn’t work after ~10 lines or so.

If you need share that data please use https://pastebin.com/ instead and post the link to that paste.

Hey @markxkr thanks for posting. I just tried and when I import that content I can remove the 8th tab without issue.

can you tell me what version of WordPress you are using? Can you test by installing the Gutenberg Plugin and trying?

    Hi Ben
    Thanks for coming back.

    WP version 5.2.3

Gutenberg plugin (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/gutenberg/) was already activated and at latest version 6.5.0

Because you can remove the 8th tab, I did a fresh install of WordPress on a subdomain and just installed Gutenberg and Kadence to see if any plugin clashes. Copied code into new page, but still couldn’t delete 8th tab using Chrome. So tried using FF and still couldn;t delete. Very strange.

Could you delete 8th tab and copy and post code here so I can insert and test?

    Thx Mark

    Hi Ben

    Just tried something else.

If I move the 8th tab back (so that it takes 7th tab position) and the last tab becomes my ‘Brochure tab’. If I delete the 8th tab, the 8th tab is removed, but the content of the Brochure tab is deleted? The brochure tab then mirrors the 8th tab and becomes uneditable. πŸ™

    Thx Mark

Hmm so that is strange. I’m not sure how to recreate, can you tell me what other plugins you have active.

If you right click and click inspect can you tell me if you see any error in the console log?

One guess is that you removed the inner block through the Gutenberg block more options. That would break things. Currently, there isn’t any way for me to tell Gutenberg to hide that option so it’s a way this could have happened

That last link is with the 8th removed

    Hi Ben
Thank you for coming back. I think you are right. I set up a new page with a new tabbed section and I was able to delete the inner block (too easily). As you say, Gutenberg doesn’t stop this, but I now know to a)look out for this and b) set WordPress to save revisions so it is easier to roll back.

    Excellent support.

    Thank you.

Thanks, I’m also looking for some ways to prevent this and seeing if it can be added to Gutenberg.
